Foresight Engineering partnered with Dongfang Electric International Corporation, together with CRRC Corporation Limited, the world’s largest rolling stock manufacturer to supply 09nos of diesel multiple units specially designed for the up-country line operation in Sri Lanka. This project will facilitate the development of the rail system of the mountainous regions of the island.

09 DMUs were supplied to operate the upcountry line.
Project completed in May 2020. All 9 units are currently in commercial operation.
